Watch - what's new?

You can now download Rep Eat Repeat for Apple Watch app. Here's a quick guide to make sure you get the most out of the app.

If you're not keen on bringing your phone into the gym the Rep Eat Repeat watch companion app will be your new best friend. The watch app puts everything you need right on your wrist to make sure you're still able to train harder, eat better and see results.

At a glance you can keep track of your daily macros, which is synced with Apple Health. Even if you use other apps to track calories they'll still be displayed right here.

Workouts

From the 'start routine' menu of the phone app you can send a workout to your watch where it will be saved, ready for the gym. The name of your routine will appear on the home screen, underneath your macros for the day. When you get to the gym, tap to start and the app will initiate an apple workout session that tracks heart rate and calories burned, synced with Apple Health. This is all displayed on the first screen, from which you can also cancel your workout any time.

When editing your set, the plus and minus buttons edit the reps and weight. Press the figure highlighted in orange to toggle between which one to change. For reps this is changed in increments of 1. For weight, the increment is 0.25.

Swipe left and right on the weight to add or subtract in increments of 5. Double tap to change this increment to 20.

Scroll down on this screen to see calculated one rep max and volume, and a more in-depth comparison with your previous set.

That's all

Each exercise in your routine has its own display page - simply swipe the screen to scroll through each one. The set from the last time you performed each exercise is displayed for easy reference. Add or remove sets by pressing the plus and minus buttons. The rest button will start a timer set to your preferred rest time for the exercise you're on.

Pro members will see their target set displayed instead of their previous set, calculated for progress in a chosen program.

Tap on the set to edit your reps and weight. For aerobic exercises, like running on the treadmill or rowing, all the Rep Eat Repeat tools are there to track duration, distance, resistance, incline and calories. Simply spin the dials to log your stats.

Swipe to the far right to save and complete your workout. It'll sync with Apple Health and save to your profile when you open your phone app. If it can't be saved to your phone right away the workout will be synced later.

On your phone, you can see heart rate data collected on the Rep dashboard. Calories burned will be recorded by Apple Health and included in your Eat dashboard summary for the day.

That's all there is to it! Let us know how you get on and if you have any ideas for improvements be sure to let us know via the feedback section in the Rep Eat Repeat app settings.
